SUBJECT: NEW GENERAL DIRECTORY OF THE ECONOMY<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

We have achieved a major objective that we have set ourselves since the 2017 General Assembly, to update our GENERAL DIRECTORY OF THE ECONOMY<\/strong> (Proposal N \u00b0 21). Today we have reached it, with the grace of God and the efforts of the whole Society.<\/span><\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

However, in a world of increasing global poverty levels as well as inequalities, there is an urgent need to aspire to a just economic system capable of responding to the most radical challenges facing humanity and the planet. It is not simply a question of \"having more<\/strong>\", but of \"being more<\/strong>\". What is needed is a profound renewal of hearts and minds so that the human person can always be at the center of social, cultural and economic life.<\/span><\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

Moreover, an economic system without ethical concern does not lead to a just social order, but rather to a culture of consumption and waste. On the other hand, when we recognize the moral dimension of economic life, which is one of the many aspects of the social doctrine of the Church, which must be fully respected, we can then act with fraternal charity, desiring, seeking and protecting the good of others and their integral development[1]<\/a>.<\/span><\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

This is why our General Directory of the Economy does not claim to give a complete vision on the economic and financial administration of our Society and even less on the immense reality of our heritage which goes beyond the aspect human and material and helps us achieve fullness in God. <\/span><\/h3>\n

The Scripture says in fact (Acts 4: 32-35):<\/span> \u201cThe multitude of believers had but one heart and one soul. No one said what belonged to his own, but between them everything was in common. With great power the apostles bore witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and they all enjoyed great favor. Also, among them no one was in need; for all those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the price of the sale, and laid it at the feet of the apostles. They then distributed to everyone according to their needs\u201d. <\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

However, taking into account the above, I invite you to remain firm and strong, despite our weaknesses and limitations, we will be committed to carrying out our mission in the image of our Models and Patrons, the Virgin Mary and the Apostles who have played a fundamental role in the Church.<\/span><\/h3>\n

It only remains for me to thank you and congratulate you for all the work and efforts. Indeed, without your efforts, we would not have achieved the goal we set for ourselves. Thank you and God shower you with many blessings and always count on my humble prayers.<\/span><\/h3>\n
