The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), former Zaire, formerly known as Congo-Belgium. Usually, it is called Congo-Kinshasa to distinguish it from the People's Republic of Congo or Congo-Brazzaville, formerly known as Congo-French.
The Church in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) shows great vitality, the population is overwhelmingly Christian: Catholics, Protestants, Kimbanguists, etc.
Among Catholics, houses of religious formation (seminaries, scholasticates and novitiates) are crowded with members in formation. There is still a real vocational enthusiasm, although it has many obstacles.
